Great pics Ollie. How rutted was Carvacre? Curious what all the rain has done to it since I was up there. Looks like you guys had a blast and that's a not so fun spot to change a tire. That last pitch back onto the trail is just a bit steep.

I've seen Carvacre better and I've seen it worse. Each time I go out there the terrain changes. That's why I love it so much.smslavin wrote:Great pics Ollie. How rutted was Carvacre? Here's the first video I have of us cruising through Sidewinder and Bronco Peak.
Sun. January 16th, 2011: Jacumba Mountains
Airing up along the old shooting range.

U.S./Mexican Border

Heading up the mountain.

Parked at one of the peaks to take in the views.

Heading up Elliot Mine with Valley of the Moon in the background.

Checking out the mine.

Crawling out one of the lower mines.

Modern petroglyph.

Parked for lunch.

View of I-8 from Mountain Springs Stagecoach Trail.

This was one the first official routes into San Diego.

Spring along the trail.

Old ruins. Sheep pens I think.

To think this was all build using just hand tools.

Thanks for the pics. That Elliot Mine area looks awesome. I'll need to put that on my list.

Great videos John. I love the Star Wars soundtracks. What video editing software do you use?

I have that but it doesn't work with Quicktime movies. Your Canon shoots in Quicktime right?BorregoWrangler wrote:Thanks, Ollie. I use the Windows Move Maker program.OLLIE wrote:Great videos John. I love the Star Wars soundtracks. What video editing software do you use?
