Nice camera work. How was the weather up there?

Thanks. It was upper 80's when we got there Friday afternoon. Saturday was warm but not like Friday, probably low 80's. Cooled down quite a bit in the evenings, low 60's. Really dry though. It was just about the heat limit for the girls although they did great.

Headed to Big Bear this coming weekend.

Thanks. Having a bit of tough time lately trying to find the balance between doing what I love and work. Seeking out my photo mojo a bit more these days.

Sweet pics! Curious, what campsite you stayed in and did you make reservations?

Thanks. We stayed at Stone Creek. It's a state park campground north of town a bit on the 243. I made reservations about 2 weeks out but it was only about half full last weekend. We tooled around a bit and looked at a few other campgrounds. Next time we go, I think we'll stay at Fern Basin. It's a forest service campground that's off the same road as Stone Creek but about another 700' in elevation. Driving through, the campsites looked much better than at Stone Creek.

Thanks for the info on your campsite.
I highly recommend Boulder Basin Campgroup near Black Mountian Lookout. Also north of town off of the 243. 7 mile dirt road in..(get your offroad fix in :D )7000+ elevation, large campsites, excellent bouldering and hiking very nearby and Black Mountain Lookout is a mere half mile hike from camp. I hear it books often due to it's popularity with climbers.

Sean- Did you get a chance to check out any of the trails I sent you? One of them was Black Mountain Road which takes you to the campsites Scott is mentioning. There's several along that road as a matter of fact.
