Another San Diegan

Post by Chunk » Fri Jul 22, 2011 7:35 am

Hey there, I ran into Ralphie and Willie a few weeks ago at a small FJ meet and eat and picked up a card after talking to those two for quite awhile. We had a good time hanging out, got lots of info and advice, seemed to click pretty well and they spoke highly of the site. So here I am.

I picked up a 2010 FJ about a year ago and love it. I've been on a few trail runs, nothing major as I'm still learning the do's and don'ts. Off the top of my head, N. Main Divide, Rattlesnake Canyon, Sandstone, Otay, Corral.

Mods are coming along slowly. Roof rack, All-Pro Sliders, Cobra CB, Kenwood/Garmin head unit, Innovate OT-2. Armor, lift, and tires on next on my list.

I'm really interested in Amatuer radio. Looks like I will find some good info here :) Communications is kinda my thing, currently working at Rady Children's in IT and chasing my Cisco certification, hoping to end up working on Enterprise VoIP. Aside from that, I love to grill, picked up a Solaire infrared portable recently and that thing is awesome.

Anyway looking forward to making some new friends and sharing some adventures.

Cheers,
Chunk (Mike)

Welcome to the site, Mike! Looks like you're familiar with some of our favorite trails around here. Hopfully you can get out with us when it cools down.
