We recently had the opportunity to utilize a group camp that was reserved in advance in the Big Bear area of Southern California. It turned out to be a good time with good friends and a great weekend in the local mountains.

Looks like a great time. Next time I'm up there, I'm definitely going trout fishing.

“People don't realize there's so much to see in our local mountains. It's not just about John Bull, Dishpan Springs, etc....”

The Big Bear area has a ton to do and the mountains to the east and more so the south are wonderful, often lush and fun. Plus, Big Bear is a great place to do nothing!

I am there about 1/3 of my weekends now, including the next two!
