Blue Sky Ecological Reserve

Lake Ramona

I feel like getting some hiking and fishing in this weekend. I plan on getting an early start to beat the heat on the way up to the lake. From what I remember, the hike up is easy to moderate. Bass and bluegill can be caught at the lake but the water is fairly clear, so light line is a must. If anyone feels like getting out as well, feel free to come along. Bring a snack and plenty of water.

Thanks, Scott! There's quite a few bass in that lake but I've never caught anything over 3 pounds in it. It'll all be catch-n-release as well.

Did you catch anything John?

Where you were parked, was about 1 mile from my house.

Well just as I got there, I received a call from my wife. She ended up having to work today so that meant I needed to return home to watch our daughter for the day. So I'll just reschedule this trip.

Since you live so close you have to come along on this one, Mark.
