Route Description:
This run will be a family friendly run that will have us on foot as well as in the seat. We will take a trip down the S-2 to Canyon sin Nombre. We will run Canyon sin Nombre to Vellacito Wash and take a drive back to the site of the Old Carrizo Stage Coach Station. This section hold the potential for some water action and low hanging brush so pin stripes are a potential possibility. After the stage coach station we will make an about face and back track for a bit up Vellacito Wash to Arroyo Seco Del Diablo (Devil's Dry Wash). We will run Arroyo Seco Del Diablo Canyon up and over the mesa to the drop off and out into Fish Creek. Depending on time we will run Loop Wash out of Fish Creek and back to it again. Hopefully we will have enough time left for people to take some time and hike up to the Wind Caves. It is a short hike. This is a very popular run and people seem to always like it. It offers a majority of all the types of geology Anza Borrego has to offer.

This sounds like a blast and something I've been wanting to do with the girls anyway. Should be confirming my attendance for the weekend later today or tomorrow. I'd like to do this run.

I changed this run do to some researh I've done. Fossil Creek is a five mile hike if you do it right and we're not ready for that. So... who's interested?

Hi Ollie,

If we can get there in time, we will join you on this one. Not sure of the schedule on Sat. morning, but we may have to meet up part way through. So put us down as tentative for now.

Ollie,

if I have the family with me I will probably join you on this run. I signed up for truckhaven, but not sure if the family will enjoy that :?

Hi Tim,

An ideal hook up point for this run would be the entrance to Arroyo Seco Del Diablo (ASDD) on Vellacito Wash. We will be heading south down Carrizo Creek to the stagecoach station then we will be coming back to ASDD entrance.

What time are you thinking of starting this? Looks like we won't be getting out there Friday evening as Dillen has a demo team practice at the karate studio that she can't miss. We'll be getting up early and heading out Saturday morning.

Sounds good. We'll aim to be there about 8:30. If we're running a bit behind, I'll get you on the radio.
