Canyon sin Nombre to Diablo Dropoff Access Issue

Post by dionysius » Tue Dec 20, 2011 8:27 pm

Went out this past Sunday hoping to take some folks to Fish Creek Wash from the Canyon sin Nombre access via Diablo Dropoff, but that didn't happen due to the route being blocked by a wall collapse into the trail. It's mostly mud so I'm sure with some good precipitation things will eventually wash out there. Currently thee isn't a way through there for now.

This is where we got stuck

This is the mud/silt, notice the neat pattern it makes when a rock is thrown into it

Another shot of it.

Went to Painted Gorge and had a nice ride there, so all wasn't lost for the day.

Merry Christmas.

Nice! The rain always makes things interesting out there. Thanks for the report.

I was wondering when one of those walls was going to finally let loose. Glad no one was out there when it let loose.

It's good to hear from you Denis :)
