Hello from Eric & Debbie

Post by PC830.6 » Fri Mar 16, 2012 3:50 pm

Hi,

This is Eric from Fontana. I'm pretty new to Ham Radios. My son expressed an interest in Ham Radios, so I gave him a Yaesu FT-60 for Christmas. He sparked my interest, so I took my Technician test in January, followed by the General test in February and the Extra test a couple of weeks ago.

We are a 4 wheeling family. In 2007, I bought a Jeep JK. One year later my daughter also bought a Jeep JK. She had the dealer install a 4 inch lift kit so I had to install a 4 1/2 inch lift kit on my Jeep. Last month my boys and I went four wheeling in Moab.

My boys and I enjoy hiking. We have climbed the local mountains, San Gorgonio, San Jacinto, and Mt Baldy. This past July we climbed Mt. Whitney. California is a great place to live and play.

My wife and I enjoy photography. It looks like Outdoor Adventure USA should be a good fit for my family. I am looking forward to meet and greet at Redondo Beach.

Eric -

Welcome aboard OAUSA.

If you don't mind braving the rain ( you sound adventurous  ), come out to the Outdoor Adventure USA Meet & Greet tomorrow at Ruby's diner in Redondo Beach...we'll be there from 9am - 4pm, rain or shine. (We'll be giving amateur radio tests from 9am-11:30am as well)

As for your screen name, are you a peace officer ? Or a volunteer ?
