Keller PL Incompatibility?

Post by NotAMog » Sun Mar 18, 2012 8:29 pm

Has anyone expereiced incompatability issues with their radios on the Keller Peak repeater? I have an iCom IC-271H all mode base station that I wanted to use since the first net I ran but it had problems with the Keller repeater. The radio was just serviced and it's still having problems with Keller but it works fine on all of the other repeaters I tried.

The problem is that audio cuts in and out when I'm transmitting. I also have a new Yaesu FT-1900 that exhibits the same problem. The technician at Turner Radio who serviced the iCom said that he's seen that problem with some repeaters.

Does anyone have a fix for this?

Thanks,

Bruce

Bruce:

I've never even heard of this happening. You might send a note to Dennis (KE6RYZ), over at the Keller Board, and ask him if he knows of a fix or what the problem might be. You can also find him on air many times during the day.

Let us know what happens.
