SoCal Desert Rendezvous 2012

Anyone here planning on attending this? I'm hoping to get out there Friday night or Saturday morning. I might run a trail or two on the way home on Sunday but other than that, I plan on just camping out.

My wife and I (possibly her Uncle) are heading out Friday night after work. Probably will not leave home until 6 or 7, so we are looking 9 or 10 before we get down there.

We figured on just hanging out in camp on Saturday so we can catch up with those we know and hang out with those we meet. But I would be all for hitting some trails on Sunday

I was planning on attending until I found out that I have a class at work all week so I can't take Friday off. I also have to take my vanpool van in for service on this weekend. My track record for "fun" events hasn't been too good so far this year.

It looks like the Desert Rendevous should be a great event.

Enjoy!

I should be there on Saturday. I am planning on watching the challenges in the morning and possibly hitting a nearby trail in the afternoon.

Nice pics there, Eric. I was sick and miserable all weekend so I'm bummed that I wasn't able to get out. :(

I heard the rig count was in the mid 60's, but I think that may have been a bit high. At least 50

I was there all weekend. Arrived Friday at 4 PM.

I would say there were at least 75 rigs there.

But this is less than last year.

I just loved ALL of the 4x4 Vans! Those are So Awesome! I want One!

I would have had 400 pics.....but just before I left my house. One of my rechargable batteries commited suicide! Oh Shoot! I put in 4 regular AA batteries at camp.....and it said Low battery and would not let me take one pic! Oh Shoot! Too Late!

Awesome time with Great 4x4 Exploring Folks!

Fun campfires......

The food was Awesome!

And so was my ......"Zack Overland Gourmet 4x4 Outback Adventure Mondo Dog"! There are pics and a video out there somewhere!

The New Zack Recipe!

Thanks Zack! And TACODOC Dave!

I had a wonderful time!

Here is the new TACODOC website.

That's my pic with the yellow flowers and bridge.....from last year. So fun!
