OAUSA Radio net

Post by kd6ddm » Sat Mar 22, 2008 5:42 am

Greetings one and all,

I am David S. KD6DDM, current President of Famcomm. I am pleased to announce that as a repeater owner myself I intent to have IRLP and have decided to buy the system all set up and put in on temporary loan to Famcomm so that we can start hearing the net controlers for the all new OAUSA net! I am working closely with the trustee (Squishy) and will be in close contact with Davek. Hoping to get this done like yesterday! So hang in there and we'll Geter' done!

Thanks DDM... This has been a longer process than we originally thought. But as they say, "Rome wasn't built over night." We truly appreciate the loaner until we get the Fam-Comm group their own IRLP computer. We have the computer now I think we just need the Node Card. :D

Maybe I am missing it... where do I find a list of repeaters for the net?

More specifically, I will be in Prescott, AZ net week with only a VX-7 and would like to join the net thursday evening.

Hey Traveltoad:

Here is the current list. If you are in AZ., your best bet would be echolink. We have not set up a repeater out of state, YET, to link up with. If you have any in mind, let us know.

Fam Comm @ 146.610 and 445.760 ~ both with (-) offsets and PL 103.5 & 156.7. (In Riverside County)
Keller Peak @ 146.385, with (+) offset and a PL of 146.2. (In San Bernardino Mtns.)

For those Ham's in the San Diego Area, your option to log in to the net is:

Palomar Mountain @ 449.300 (-) (100.0) KA6UAI IRLP node 7870.

Note: Fam Comm may not be up at that time, so check it shortly before the net starts.

Echolink users anywhere, use KE6TZG-L to talk & listen on the Keller.

Let's hear about the Disco!

New to ham, but not offroading. Most active on MUD and have wheeled with Ollie!

Would love to listen in and participate in your Thursday nets. I've registered on Echolink - what's the node?

Also, behind the Orange Curtain in south Orange County, what repeater am I most likely to be able to use? Any good active repeaters here in the OC?

Currently, only the Keller Peak repeater carries the net. The frequency is 146.385+ with a PL of 146.2. The Echolink node is KE6TZG-L.
