2012 SummerFest / Field Day Potluck Planning
The potluck will be held on the night of June 23rd. It will start between 6:30 pm and 7:00 pm.
Please post your savory dish that you will be bringing to the potluck and it will be added to the head of this thread. Please keep your serving sizes to about 8 people. I’m sure 12 or more will be able to sample your dish and tell you how great it is. With a little luck, we may be able to see Larry both cook and consume. Don't miss it!
Hint: the more detailed you are in describing your dish, the more that others will be inspired to up their game.

Chicken Tinga on a 2 burner Coleman.
A whole cooked chicken, pulled apart and simmered in chipotle peppers with adobo sauce with soft yellow onions. Served with tortillas and cheese. If you aren't OK with spicy, bring a little sour cream. I can bring Mexican rice as a side, too if needed. If you guys want, I can do the entire thing in camp, but would prefer if I could cook at least the chicken the night before.
*also bc I gotta head back to bush camp that night.

Re: 2012 SummerFest / Field Day Potluck Planning
UPDATE
Thanks Garrett and Cris for volunteering to bring items to the pot luck.
Summer fest has always been a little different type of event, due in part to the combination of several activities (Camping, Field Day, trail runs and Amateur Radio testing), but one of the things that we have strived to maintain is the Saturday night pot luck affair. With a slight bit of tweaking, we will continue with this tradition. Between the competing demands of Field Day (for people to be on the radio constantly) and the light turnout for the pot luck, we are asking everyone, as they prepare their own meal for Saturday night, to make a little extra for others to try. This way you can all get a chance to taste some cuisine, other than what you prepare for yourself.
As in years past, we will be having appetizers and wine tasting before dinner on Saturday night as well as the group campfire when it gets dark or cold. Be sure to bring your favorite vintage for the wine tasting.
