Coyote Plateau - Funnel Lake Trip

Post by adventureduo » Fri Aug 17, 2012 9:28 am

Every year we escape the heat in So-Cal and head to Coyote Plateau/Flats. It's such a beautiful place with so much to see, if you haven't been make it your goal in the future. Well worth it.

On this particular trip we visited Funnel and Rocky Bottom Lake. Fished, relaxed and explored at high elevation in the trucks. It was a great time as always. Enjoy! http://www.adventureduo.com/2012/08/coy ... ke_12.html

Great report, as usual. Way to go on the trout too! This area is high on my need to do list.

That report made me homesick! I grew up in Bishop (well, actually Rovana) and have been up into Coyote many times.

Thanks!

I love that place. First trip up there last summer for 4 days and feel like we just scratched the surface of that beautiful area.

Dave,

Great trip report. I've been on some of the trails up that way but I have yet to make it Coyote Flats. It looks like a really scenic area.
