Wow - what can I say - those pictures are worth 1,000 words. I have never been on the trails in that area, but I have wanted to go for a long time - and these pics really give me the itch for the outdoors !!!

I hope to have an opportunity to go up there soon...

Looks great - nice camp site. What no trailer? Is that a sail boat? I am ready to sign up for the next trip.
See you on the Trail!

Trip was too short for the trailer - had to rough it. Next time.

I took the family there two years ago, and we had a great time. There isn't the crowd you get at Yosemite, and the views are spectacular.

I never new they had jeep trails there. That's good to know for when I get something that can go off road.

Great pictures. Makes me yearn to go camping again.

I was reading the sign about vehicle requirements. Was the trail that rough or is the sign just making it sound that way? I would love to run that trail. I have a 3 " lift and 33" tires but no belly armor would that due? I really want to go there.

Hey Sanderhawk:

The sign doesn't lie. There are two fairly nasty rocky uphills/downhills. Fortunately. there are bypass trails for both. You shouldn't have any problems if you take the bypass trails. The remainder of the trail has some rocky parts and some up hill and down hill parts, but do-able with good ground clearance. Without some UCP, you might damage the underside on the nasty stuff.

Otherwise its hard to even notice the trail with such incredible scenery. If you want, I can give you the coordinates to our campsite. It was fairly secluded and out of the way. Just a note, on the trail, it is all dispersed camping. NO amenities. Don't forget to see the lookout!!!!
