2013 Spring Meet & Greet - Redondo Beach Ruby's Restaurant
Redondo Beach Meet & Greet
OAUSA will hold it's annual Meet & Greet on March 16, 2013, at the Ruby's Diner in Redondo Beach California. Ruby's and the Marina Management Company have teamed up again to welcome us and provide a unique location for this event.
Ruby's is located right on the beach in Redondo and offers a perfect setting for this get together. There will be a special section for display of outdoor vehicles, a testing session for all levels of Ham Radio Licensing, Ham Radio demonstrations, guest speakers, emergency preparedness information, vendor and club booths, and great food at Ruby's. More details to follow.
Bring your families too and enjoy a day at the beach. This is a great venue for us to meet the family members we never get to see on the trail. Post any questions you may have here or send a PM to DaveK, cruiserlarry, or Ollie. We look forward to seeing you there.

Looks like I will be parking with y'all since this will be a reunion for me as well. I used to work with NotAMog about eight years ago and will be spending some time catching up with him. What a small world this is turning out to be.

We might even get Bruce to bring the Beast and do a demo or two.
I know that, at least at the moment, you are not a Ham guy, but you might want to think about listening to our weekly nets, where occasionally Bruce is a speaker. You can even listen (most of the time) without being a Ham or even owning any Ham equipment by dialing up the Keller Peak Repeater (http://www.kpra.net/).

Dave,
Sign me up for the Pinzgauer. That gives me a goal to shoot for with the next round of trouble shooting the EFI system. DYI fuel injection on an exotic 41 year old vehicle is certainly an adventure even if the system was designed by an expert. Santa dropped off a nice new stainless steel fuel tank which will clear up the problem of the peeling lining "red death" of the original tank. Now I just need to install it. After that a larger fuel pump will be in order if the new tank doesn't fix my fuel delivery woes.
If not, there's always the Toyota.
It will be fun to get down that way. I lived in Hermosa Beach right out of college and still enjoy visiting the area when I get a chance.
Anyone up for Naja's?

Bruce:
Good luck with the Pinz. Hopefully it will make the event, but if not, the Flip up will do quite nicely!

Re: 2013 Spring Meet & Greet - Redondo Beach Ruby's Restaurant
Last night on the net I said I would make it, but I was looking at the wrong month of the calendar. That weekend I will be doing the Desert Rendezvou, so I will not make it to the meet and greet. I do have Field Day on the calendar, but hopefully I can meet up with at least some of you long before then.

Dont' know if there's a crossover of groups attending, but this is the same weekend TACODOC is holding Desert Rendevous out in Anza Borrego.

Re: 2013 Spring Meet & Greet - Redondo Beach Ruby's Restaurant
Yeah, I have already confirmed for that. Bummer that I cant make this.
