Amazing jump starter!!

Seriously, this thing is amazing. Small enough to fit in your back pocket.

We tested it with 10 Land Rover V8 engine starts, leaving about half the charge remaining (per the LED indicators)!!

There really isn't any info on their website about the technology. I will try to get my hands one again and see if there is any more info with the unit itself.

The (slightly) larger XP-1 retails for $159.99

The smaller XP-3 (designed more for motorcycles) retails for $129.99

The best info I can find so far is from a thread on another forum:

It is NOT Lifepo4 chemistry like our regular batteries. It another type of Lithium and it can be used to jump start anything up to and including V8 trucks many times in a row easily, and then charge your electronics devices.

Not challenging this product, because it sounds like a great solution to an age old problem ..............BUT, normally the amount of current required to jump start a V8 is significant, and the wiring on the jumper cables (shown in the picture) doesn't seem to be adequate. Am I missing something??

It works...

But... after testing 10 starts in a row, it was noticed that the wires and the battery pack was hot. It was at this point the warning was read... not to jump start multiple times in a row, need to let the system cool down in between.

This is the slightly smaller XP-3 which only has a USB charging port and does not come in a zipper case.

The manufacturer has contacted us at Dirty Parts about carrying this product, so we are looking into the specific technology / chemistry involved that allows this unit to work as claimed....I'll report more details as we receive them
