My name is Mike. I showed up at Borrego Fest early this past Sat morning and was able to get in on the mine trail run ! I was driving the dusty gray 2005 4Runner.
This was not my first time 4-wheeling, but 1st time doing a trail run. Thanks Dave and company for being the run coordinator. We saw some neat sites/mines, had some good laughs, poison oak, vertical ascents .... to reach that one mine high up on hill in the crevice

I had just gotten back from 2 weeks roaming around the old mining/train sites in Colorado - Durango, Creed, Lake City, Silverton, Ouray, Leadville, Central City, Blackhawk and a few more that escape me right now. Saw lots of old stuff, 4-wheeled a bit when I wasn't stopped by snow, e.g. Mosquito Pass in Leadville.
Not much fancy in my 4Runner, Old Man Emu shocks/lift ~2.5-3", BudBuilt skids (done up by Larry/Dirty Parts), Demelo rock sliders (horror stories from Shrockworks trying to get anything from them in a timely fashion

I'm planning on taking Tom S's 4x4 driving classes in a couple of weeks too.
Glad to meet everyone and hope to see you around !
Mike
P.S. Yes, I'm a steam train aficionado, hence the ChooChooMike moniker
