2014 Summer Fest Amateur Radio Testing

We will plan our Summer-Fest activities and Amateur Radio Field Day Event here. This the weekend we contest for points on the HF air waves, camp, and wheel.

2014 Summer Fest Amateur Radio Testing

We will offer a testing session at SummerFest / Field Day this year. Exams for all license levels for Amateur Radio will be offered.

Date and time:
Sunday, June 29th, 2014, from 10:00AM to noon.

Cost:
$15.00 - please bring exact amount

Location
MCGILL CAMPGROUND, CA Group Camp #2, Los Padres National Forest.

GPS Location Coordinates:

Elevation : 7500

Directions:
Take I-5 North to Frazier Mountain Park Road exit. Go west on Frazier Mountain Park Road for 7 miles to Cuddy Valley Road. Bear right at Cuddy Valley Road. Continue 5 miles to the Y in the road and veer left for 5 more miles to McGill Campground entrance on the right side of the road. Further directions are available here: viewtopic.php?f=192&t=3726

Radio call-in for information:

For each of the three days of this event we will be monitoring one or more of the repeaters in the area. At this point it looks like we will start with the Frazier Mountain Repeater. This may change, so check here for updates on the repeaters we will use.

In order to effectively plan for this, we will need to get an idea of how many would like to participate. If you think you will be testing, please post here and we will add your name to the list.

I am trying to get my Dad to come up and test for Tech, not sure if he will make it yet though
