OAUSA Net - April 9, 2015 - Wine in the Outdoors
Many things can contribute to the enjoyment of an outdoor trip. Wine is a great companion outdoors as long as it is done responsibly. That means after the day’s activities and in a safe place, like around a camp fire.
Our returning guest will be Wine Master Lynda KI6SXI. Lynda is a wealth of information on wine and will talk about wine making, wineries, wine tasting, corks, box wines, reading labels and much more.
We will taste test 2 wines. If you want to follow along and give us your tasting input Thursday night, purchase a bottle of:
1. Red - Columbia Crest H3 Cabernet - $14.00 at Total Wine(http://www.totalwine.com/eng/product/co ... /104059750)
2 .White - Rock View Riesling 2013 - $9.99 at Total Wine ( http://www.totalwine.com/eng/product/ro ... /111418750 )
Remember – you cannot be mobile if you are taste testing!!

Product Spot Light
LazerBrite Multi-Lux Military Tactical Lighting
This a product I discovered while in Moab, UT for the Easter Jeep Safari. It was invented by a local store there http://www.moabgear.com/ and is made in the USA.
It fits in well with the discussion from last week's net on Urban Survival.
This description is directly from a related web site - http://www.lazerbrite.com/index.php.
The LazerBrite Single Mode Unit in military packaging.
This contains the LazerBrite multi-lux tactical flashlight. This light has two modular lighting heads that come in low-high-flash modes. The LazerBrite is available in six colors, as well as infrared. The batteries are already loaded, so this LED light is ready for instant use. It is a waterproof light, and is an essential piece of hiking or camping gear, and can be used as a military flashlight as well as a marker light.
This kit includes extra batteries, a long and short glow dome, a short tube, a threaded loop, and a helix attachment loop. The batteries have a ten-year shelf life and the light itself can last continuously for several days. The glow domes can be screwed into the top of the flashlight heads to create an LED lantern. The threaded loop and helix attachment loop can be use to tie the LazerBrite heads to various objects, such as bike handlebars, walking sticks, tree branches, and can even keep it suspended inside a tent.
The LazerBrite is made in the USA, is eco-friendly, and makes a good replacement for glowsticks, lanterns, and more. The LazerBrite is a waterproof light, lightweight and durable, and is perfect for emergency situations, hiking, and for military or law enforcement use.
