Dave,
Please check me in.
I use a Coleman 6 person tent with the family, a small backpacking tent for back country Sierra fishing and sometimes my car with air mattress.

“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects”.

The manufacturer of the FlipPac camper, FRP, or Fiberglas Reinforced Products, is located in Riverside, CA so they are local for many of us on the net. Their web site is -
http://www.flippac.com
The company is a little behind the time regarding the use of electronic media for communications but if you visit them in person they will help you out.
I purchased my FlipPac through Adventure Trailers in Prescott, AZ. They were reselling the FlipPac manufactured to their specifications like deleting the side windows. They took the basic FlipPac concept and improved on it with a similar camper called the Toyota Habitat -

It opens to the rear rather than the front which provides a shaded stand-up area depending on your height and the height of your vehicle. The tent is custom built by Nemo Tents and is much improved over the FlipPac tent design.
