Tonight (10/27/16) we will complete our discussion of expedition planning. One of our most incredible adventures were our trips to the Navajo nation. As a sovereign nation, there are strict limits that non-Navajos must observe when visiting. In general, travel through the Nation is allowed without any special permission, but once you wander from these main roads, you will need to follow the rules. For the well prepared traveler, getting the necessary permits and permissions, and following the other rules, will provide you with one of the most spectacular adventures you will ever have. We will discuss these procedures on the net. The following are pictures of places we visited where we had first obtained the necessary written permits and hired the correct guides. Without following these rules, these places are not accessible.
