Welcome!
I'd been a backpacker and primitive camper for most of my life too. I took one trip with OAUSA (to Kokoweef) and now I'm sold on the good life (Dutch oven, real food, happy hours, big tents, and cots). It's taken some adjusting, but its been a heck of a fun transition.
Welcome. I hope you can make one of the trips. The Fall desert trip (Borrego Fest) sounds like a lot of fun!!
