Operation Red-Eye Net Check-In:

A little over 125 miles from the Keller Peak Repeater with a significant piece of dirt between our location and the repeater. A little Google Earth recon before the event but the planned site was not made because the road to the site was gated.

The Blackbird J-Pole that was rotated to provide the best signal to the repeater. The J-Pole "lobes" were apparent during this test and contact was made at 75 watts on an FT-2900 working off of a battery box (33AH SLA).

The bad conditions were not as good as years past, but 10 and 15 meters were well used this year.

We had a lot of success with a Myantennas.com end fed antenna.

A lot of people were asking about what antenna I was using and I used the 80-10 meter EFHW8010 it covers 8 bands, it is Loooonnnnggg and you must exercise great care or it can easily become a rats nest.
