Saturday Evening Potluck - Borrego Fest 2018
One of the highlights of Borrego Fest has been the Saturday night potluck dinner. This is due in part to the huge turn out for the event, and the equally large number of people who volunteer to bring a variety of dishes. This year, should be no less impressive. We are asking for the cooperation of everyone attending to help make this potluck a success. There is always a need for beverages, paper goods, utensils, firewood, etc.
In addition to the potluck, wine tasting has become a popular part of the Saturday night festivities. So, let us know what spirits you might be bringing for others to sample as well. Kevin, Jack, DaveK and others will have several appetizers to go along with the wine tasting. If you have your favorite appetizers, let us know what you would like to bring!
Due to the enormous success of the way we held the potluck dinner last year, we will be following that model again this year. Specifically, the appetizer and wine tasting as well as the potluck dinner will take place at the campsite and will be essentially one affair. For those who will be preparing a dish for dinner, we will plan on starting the appetizer/wine tasting around 4:00PM and the dinner, around 6:30 (maybe 7:00PM).
MAIN DISHES:
Poppy Seed Chicken - Brent
Triple Chocolate cake - Tom
Roger - frog somethings

DaveK
Kevin
Jack

Add Jeepergeo to the Wine and Appetizer list.
I'll consult with my "+1" on the other categories and get back to you. Likely it will be some sort of main dish.

Wine for sure.
If everyone isn't tired of my Poppyseed Chicken, I'm more than happy to put that in as a main dish again this year.

You'll have Tom to contend with if you fail to make the poppy seed chicken dish. Make it happen!!!

I'm trying to keep this trip simple so I'm bringing Tim's favorite "frog balls" and wine of course.

I could try my hand at some beef stroganoff. We’ll bring a few bottles of wine, some firewood, and the finest disposable place settings.

Warren is going to make his famous jambalaya
Kim is making a bacon swiss and cheddar cheese ball for happy hour.
And, of course, we will be bringing wine.
Looking forward to seeing everyone.
