Love the Ready light with built solar panels! A bit pricey but well worth the cost! https://youtu.be/heBm0m1cKb8

Candle Lanterns
I've been using candle lanterns for many years. If you want something that provides just enough light to navigate around camp at night with no glare or noise these provide a surprising amount of useful light. Glare and noise are my two biggest complaints with traditional mantel lanterns.
These single candle lanterns are typically collapsable as is this one. The cylindrical glass globe slides down into the lower part holding the candle. The candle loads from the bottom and a spring pushes the candle up as it burns maintaining the flame in the same position.
If you want something that puts out more light and can double as a stove in a pinch triple candle lanterns are available -
I've used one of these a few times to stand in for a campfire in places where open fires are not allowed. It's not quite the same as a nice roaring campfire but it gives out light and gives a group of people something to sit around in the evening.
