Coffee anyone? This pot could easily make a debut at a Steampunk event....but this shot of the pot is at the OAUSA Field Day where Kona Coffee was brewed.

Coffee Taste-Off
A variety of coffees were on hand using pour over, American press and a unique Vacuum contraption from Bruce. The coffee Taste-off never officially happened. It sort of evolved over 3 days. Never a shortage of top quality stuff!
As if great coffee in the AM weren’t enough, Jack and John provided 15-20 authentic Frappuccino’s mid-Saturday.

Lunches were provided by Jeff and Brenda(not pictured) lettuce wrapped chicken and tuna salad with home grown produce. Bruce baked his own bread on-site in his solar oven and supplied us with great sandwiches.

We had a very nice turnout for Saturday appetizers and dinner. The challenge is making dinner at the same time you are eating appetizers. We haven’t figured out how to master that skill.

Actually, his device worked like a champ with more than enough power to clear the highest branches and the accuracy to “Stick” the landing. Version 3.1 coming in early 2020.

Unless I am mistaken, we used three different versions of the MyAntennas, EndFed half wave antenna as an inverted V, horizontal and a slight sloper to make many of our contacts. Steven’s 15/20 meter dipole made up most of the rest of the contacts with Dave’s Scorpion screwdriver handling the digital work.

Although I didn’t make a huge number of contacts due to the number of other activities at the event, I was able to make contacts on 80 meters for the first time. The noise floor on that band was tremendous. <br />A special thanks to Hector, Larry and Steven for their support in getting the newer Hams on the air, some for the first time.
