To the Net
As Jack mentioned, I am in Northern California and due to the lack of EchoLink, I will not be able to participate. I would like to submit the best and easiest dessert recipe that can be made at home, or in a Dutch oven at camp.
Three way(or more) brownies.
Easy way
One container of Nestle Toll House Cookie Dough
Hard way
Make cookie dough from scratch
One package brownie mix
About 2-3 sleeves of Oreos
One egg per brownie direction
Oil per brownie directions
Additional items if you would like.
Thin layer of peanut butter on each cookie only
Carmel poured on Oreos or on uncooked brownie mix
Directions
1. Lightly oil or grease bottom of pan
2. Place a 3/8”’layer of cookie dough on bottom of 12” dutch oven or 1/2 size chafing dish foil liner. About 9” x 10”
3.Press single layer of Oreos into cookie dough. If you don’t press them in, they will float to the top. Go ahead and fill in the cracks with additional pieces of Oreos.
4.Add the oil and egg to the brownie mix per package directions and pour over the Oreos.
5. Cover with Dutch oven lid and coals and cook to brownie direction temp and time or until it is just cooked in center.
Do not over-bake.
6. Let cool slightly and enjoy with the ice cream that one of your camp partners remembered to bring in their Fridge/Freezer.
These will keep for at least a week in a ziplock bag un-refrigerated.

“A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects”.
