A few pictures from last year’s Anza Borrego bloom

Seemed like an average bloom. Wildflowers were not abundant, but sufficient.

While not restricted to a spring bloom, a beautiful ocotillo covered with leaves.

There were many types of large caterpillars enjoying the bloom.

Rocky Mount Elk Foundation Banquet

Post by Jeff-OAUSA » Thu Feb 20, 2020 9:05 pm

Rocky Mountain Elk Foundation - Southern California Chapter - Big Game Banquet

The RMEF Big Game Banquet is February 29 at the National Orange Show Events Center in San Bernardino. The event features dinner, Big Games to win raffle tickets, and a live auction. Raffles include trips to the GUN WALL to choose from ~40 firearms or throw your tickets in the buckets for other great prizes. Play BUGLE Craps with a chance to win $10,000.00. We have great hunts to auction including a Montana Elk, Bear, and Wolf hunt for two hunters! We have great fishing trips to Alaska and 2.5 Days out of San Diego fishing on the amazing Top Gun 80.

I'd tell you about the Mystery Safe, but then it would not be a Mystery, right? There is a lot of competition to win it, but someone walks away with a safe and its contents (hmmm...what's the chance of there being long guns and handguns inside the safe as well as other gear?)

Early Bird ticket sales close on February 23. Early Birds get 20% more raffle tickets for their donation.

Sign up on line and get more information here: https://events.rmef.org/shop/8106

Once we hit our attendance guarantee, we will need to close down sign ups. Don't delay and miss the opportunity to attend.

This year will be my fourth year attending, and I've been amazed at the last three banquets and the number of firearms given away and the quality of the trips, auction items, raffle items, and the number of like-minded people.
