Discussion Topic: Iron Sights, Red Dot, Light, Laser?

As an old guy with old guy vision, I’ve got red dot sights (Vortex Venom with 3 MOA dot) on some “day” pistols.

Are red dots a suitable sighting system for concealed carry?

For after dusk, evening, and night, my subcompact pistol (G29) has small light/laser unit attached:

In my mind, the light makes for a good way to identify a threat and the laser makes for a higher probability first shot hit. I sorely need realistic practice with this combination, but are there any opinions on laser/light for concealed carry during darkness?

PRODUCT SPOTLIGHT

Beretta Vic FieldTac Shirt (https://www.berettausa.com/en-us/berett ... tac-shirt/)

A permit to carry concealed means just that. In many jurisdictions, a failure to do so (unless in self defense) may have some nasty results. There seems to be no end to the clever means that have been devised to maintain concealment. While the subject of this spotlight is not entirely new, the Beretta Company has a new take on it that can help keep you legal. The company calls it the Beretta Vic FieldTac Shirt, but it seems to have adopted the name of "tear-away clothing."

Unlike most button down shirts, which close by the use of buttons, the Vic uses Velcro for the bottom closure points. Meant to be worn untucked, this shirt gives much quicker access to your concealed firearm than a button down shirt can offer. When access is needed to your concealed firearm, just yank the shirt out of the way and get nearly instant access.

For about 50 bucks, you get to sport the cool "untucked" look, all while carrying a well hidden, legally concealed firearm.

Check in please - Thanks - Bernie

No hand guns here, unless you count the pellet gun LOL, just an old Mossberg Model 152 .22 caliber only rifle, that I got as a gift for my birthday from my grandfather, back in the mid-70's, after he had a stroke, and couldn't use one of his arms. I had sold my Winchester Model 94 30/30 lever action, and my old 16-gauge shotgun, also a Mossberg, a Model 500 or 500B maybe, not sure, was stolen on me back around 1981 or so. That one may have been made around 1963 or so.
