I would like to add Winchester's 350 Legend (kind of an odd way to break into the market) and Remington's 360 Hammer (again, marketing at its finest).

Trend or Fad: AR platform for all your shooting needs, from pistol to designated marksman, to hunting rifle; America's Rifle... Here, a side charging 350 Legend with LPVO 1-4 power scope, stainless heavy barrel. Points: 1) Ammo that conforms to hunting restrictions in certain areas of the US, 2) Modified charging systems that reduce costs of the upper, 3) LPVO (low power variable optic) that run from mild to wild with respect to power rating and optic potential with many positive points with some very fair trade-offs.

There is a current resurgence of lever guns as stated and they are very much in short supply so having the "adult Lego platform" found in the AR-15 and AR-10 modern rifle systems is definitely some kind of trend... It is funny how the modern cartridges can be supplemented by such a turn back in design to the tapered straight-walled cartridges like the "newer" 350 Legend. There is little "modern" to say about the 350 Legend but only time will tell if it will be truly "legendary" like the 30-30 and the 45-70.

Trend or Fad: From L-R 360 Buckhammer, 350 Legend, 30-30 WIN, 35 Remington,, 45-70 GOV'T & the 450 Bushmaster (to show only a few)! A great platform for varied purposes based on the wide variety of ammunition available. Is "modularity" a drawback or a blessing...all things in moderation.
