Get out and see some of Arizona.
I'm putting a run together for 23/24 August. It will be something like this:
For those interested, Fri eve, primitive camping in Coconino Forest can be had or at a FS campground.
Depart Flagstaff in A.M. Saturday on Woody Mountain Road (FS231) and end up in Jerome via a network of FS roads. On the way to Jerome, there is decision time, Those who wish a slight challenge will go through Martin Canyon (Smiley Rock), the others can go on to Jerome with a pre determined meeting time. We can set up a primitive camp in the area between Cottonwood and Sedona, or with enough people, a group site in Sedona.
Then go for an evening run of Broken Arrow.
Sunday, Maybe some other Sedona trails or Schnebly Hill Road.
This would consist of >100 miles of unpaved roads.
Any interest?
I am:
Family Friendly (my daughters and wife will be there)
Light drinkers once in camp for the night.
Non Smoker (except occasional cigars)
Comm that I have would be:
FRS radios, CB radios, Cell phones (where service permits)

This sounds like a fun trip. Our Summerfest takes place this weekend and I'm commited to that. Sorry...
I still haven't had the Sedona experience.
