Great pics, sdnative... but I guess you have to be careful about is flash flooding when those storm clouds start forming in the desert...

Can't wait for a rolling MojaveFest !!!

I would also like to hit Death Valley in the cooler months - I was thinking Jan / Feb...

Any suggestions for which might be better ???

I'd be interested in either the Mojave Preserve or Death Valley. I've been to Death Valley 3 times since I got the Pinzgauer but there are still many trails I haven't run and others that I'd like to run again. I'll be doing the Mojave Road in October but I'm sure that there will be many places along the way I'd like to revist.

I would vote for Jan or Feb. December is often a tough month for people with all the pre-holiday preparations.
