2008-08-28: SummerFest Report (Big Bear)

Our net for August 28, 2008 was an exposition of the Big Bear Summer Fest. With 28 check-ins, we had trail reports, vehicle breakdown reports, and a commentary from the apparent winner of the cobbler cook-off, Toms. We also discussed the comms plan, emergency planning, the campsite and had reports from several attendees. In addition to a great first event, we made it through the weekend without incident, other than Tom's minor steering mishap. Thanks again to all who made this event possible, including all those who attended.

The net lasted an hour and a half and was capped by a trail report from "taugust" involving a fascinating and historic trail near Salton Sea, known as the Bradshaw trail. Check it out.
