I know the feeling. This one is really worth the effort. Not only is it spectacular, we did not see a single person the drive in nor the drive out.

Next year she wants to find a good spot that takes a couple days by 4x4 to get to and set up a base camp to launch a multi-day backpacking trip.

And she is already excited for the following year's Alaska trip.

Yeah, she's a keeper.

My son is asking when we will stay in the "Green Hotel" (our tent is green) again.

My wife is only ok with the 4x4 stuff. She loves what I call adventuring.

It's rare that I can get my GF to go wheeling and you can forget camping altogether. Her idea of camping is room service. :roll:

One of my early dates with my now wife was a 4 day/3 night backpacking trip in the Mtns of Big Sur.
