Bronco Peak run

Post by THATSALEXUS? » Sat Sep 13, 2008 7:37 pm

I just ran Bronco Peak with a bunch of other 80 series Landcruisers. I thought you guys would like some pics, etc. from one of the most difficult trails San Diego has to offer. It is easily as difficult as anything I have done in Moab or the Rubicon. I realize this particular trail may be too extreme for many but the area has recently opened back up after the fires and should definately be seen by all. There are trails of varying difficulty and there are views that must be seen to be appreciated. The area I am referring to is the Corral Canyon OHV area, just above Lake Morena.http://forum.ih8mud.com/ca-socal-80s/24 ... -08-a.html

yup that trail is a ballbuster! me and a buddy found ourselves up there by accident. I lost my drivers mirror and damn near put a hole in my door there. MEAN! going down the bronco peak connector that drops you into bobcat campground, that is nutz too. we had to turn back on that one all the way at the end and go back uphill. we spent all day backtracking it. good times though and definitly one of the hardest in san diego.

You 80 series guys have some nice rides. Did you get a chance to run Sidewinder?

Man, I would at least like to ride along with someone there one of these days. Last time I was up there at Corral Canyon OHV Area, I went to the campground where that trail comes out at to take a looksee. Holy crap!

We'd tried walking up that and folks were falling down. That's the Bronco Peak Connector trail. Serious obstacle course there.
