BlackFriday Run 11/28: Orriflamme/Rodriquez/Coyote Canyon??

Post by BoBoNel » Tue Nov 25, 2008 5:07 pm

This will be a catch all run.....no real plans. We'll go where ever the wind and rain takes us (or doesnt allow us to go).

A few of us in Ramona are going to head out early and take Orriflamme or Rodriquez down onto the desert floor. From there its up for grabs. Possibly coyote canyon.......but who knows.

UPDATE: we are camping friday night. if you are interested let me know that too.

Post up if interested. This run is fairly stock friendly for the most part and with spotting everyone will be (or should be) fine.

TIME: 9 am----Meet at the Albertsons in Ramona ('cause theres a starbucks inside), on main street.

I'd love to join you, but I spent all my brownie points last weekend. It takes me a month or so to save up enough to go on a run

Be careful, I heard it's supposed to rain pretty hard this week. Which is a good thing because the second crossing at coyote canyon was completely dry

Oh, if I only had friday off work... I probably still wouldn't be able to go! :(

I really hope it gets some rain out there. Vallecito Wash is a blast to run when there's water flowing along it. However, the walls of Arroyo Tapiado and Diablo are much more susceptible to collapse when its raining, so I'd advise ya to avoid those areas if that's the case. Like Eric said, be careful. Coyote Canyon is also fun in the rain!

Have fun, be safe and take pics! :)

Bobo is this a day run only? Could you be convinced into spending one night out there? I'll lend you my space heater. :D

Ok, sounds good. It is really really pouring here and has been for the last 2 1/2 hours. I'm heading out to Barstow tomorrow and will return Thursday evening depending on weather. It is supposed to let up Thursday afternoon and should be beautiful by Friday!

Bobo, count me in for a day run. I have stuff to do on Saturday, so I won't be camping.
I hope we can do coyote canyon. I haven't been there since the time we ran it and Maureen rode with you, Bobo.
