Mojave Road Adventure: Jan 9-11th 2009

Lets plan the early 2008 Mojave Preserve run here. This is not a sanctioned event. Just some freinds meeting on the Mojave Road.

I'm flattered that you used my photo to start this thread!

I should know this week if I can go.

BTW, I was in the Mojave National Preseve this last weekend: Photos here.

Here's a list compiled by Scott of those who showed interest in the original thread. Post up and I'll either add or delete you from the list.

He might be able to coordinate the Barstow BLM office too.

If not here is the contact at Barstow
Larry Blain 760-252-6041

These are the guys who handle the permits.
Since when has the BLM needed to know when a group crosses their land? Wow, I've never heard of that at all. :? So do I need an actual permit from them as well or do I just need to give them the info on when we're coming through? Thanks for the info guys. I guess I can just call the office and find out.

Welcome aboard! Well, my lady won't be coming along so you'll have to hear from everyone else. Ah man, I'm gonna miss my lady!

The BLM only requires a permit for commercial operations. Your call is a courtesy to them and will avoid them stopping you to check for a permit. I tried to explain that in my earlier post but I guess I didn't get the point across too well.

Actually, an LX450 is an 80, it just isn't a Landcruiser (or is it ;) ). Buuuuuuuuut, since you mention it, I will be sporting the 4Runner once again as the Lexus will be sporting fresh new (green) gears

Well, I figured if I called it an 80 you'd call me out and then of course you have your screen name? ;)
