Just checking in!

Post by fj80toyman » Wed Dec 10, 2008 11:37 pm

Hello All,

I'm new to this forum, most of my lurking time is spent on 'Mud, but this site has some great info and folks for expeditions which I intend to do more of this coming year. (really trying to justify the Mojave trail in early January!). No doubt will run into some of the same folks here as on Mud.

I've been a Toyota owner for almost forever, currently own a '95 FZJ80 with some mods, mostly set up for expeditions (as opposed to serious rock crawling). Also own a '74 FJ40 that my two sons and I restored several years ago, and a '94 Toyota mini-truck. Wife drives a Sienna but that's not 4 wheel drive so it really doesn't count, right?

I am looking forward to getting out with folks with some common interests in the outdoors, off-roading, 2-ways, etc.

Clearly, I need to allocate a little surfing time over here.

Thanks, Dan.

Nice truck! Thanks for the introduction.

I'm going to try to go on the Mojave trip as well.

Where where those photos taken? (edit: oops, i see they were in Moab)

BTW, that 80 looks like a '96. How did you find one without a sunroof?

Welcome to OAUSA, Dan !!!

As another long-time Toyota fan (I've had 5 landcruisers and a Hilux 4WD prior to my FJC), I appreciate your corral of Toyotas (well, maybe even the Sienna  )

Please feel free to post up on the new Expedition forum - and I look forward to seeing you out on the trail soon...

I'm assuming that cowboy is pointing out the direction of the trail with his only uninjured finger...
