When I requested KI7CJW as my call sign, I didn't realize that the numbers designated location, as in 6 designating California and 7 designating Arizona, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, Utah, Washington and Wyoming. And, I didn't know a tech could have a X6XXX call sign.
So, I searched the FCC database and found that K6CJW and W6CJW were assigned, but N6CJW was not found in the database, so I applied for it.
Well, I just checked the FCC website tonight and found that I have been granted N6CJW.
Dave K. and other net controllers, please change my call sign on the check-in roster to N6CJW. Thanks!
