Cajon Pass for trains

Post by big dave » Tue Dec 16, 2008 4:44 pm

Im heading up to the Cajon Pass Wednesday morning to check out the trains and snow. Ill have my friend with me, and my 5 year old. I wont be doing any crazy trail running, just driving around from here to there checking out spots to watch the trains from and take pics.

Hope you're bringing chains, it's supposed to be colder tomorrow and more snow is predicted. Sounds like a fun day! :D

This trip kinda went sideways. I am glad it all turned out well in the end. I hope he at least got some great photos out of it.

I enjoy listening to trains in this area. I love the sound of them struggling up the hill with a full load.

One good thing about this area is, if you get tried of trains, your surrounded by history. Spanish Trail, Salt Lake Trail, Mojave Rd, Mojave trail, the Toll rd, Route 66, etc, etc,.
