That's what is looked like, a weather balloon or something similar except it was creepy and I mean that. It was there in plain view then is was gone, it didn't float down it just disappeared. My son, Frogeye and I saw it simultaneously. I'm sure it was some type of optical illusion but is was still freaky. :? 8-)

John and Ollie, great videos! Wow Ollie you guys found some serious mud.

Ok now here's my take on the UFO:

So G2Srf and I are out ahead of the rest of the pack headed back toward the main Fish Creek Wash when all three of us spotted the same thing at the same frigging time. What I saw looked like a light bulb shape but pitch black on a very bright blue sky. There where two objects one above the other. There was a space between the two objects where you could see the sky behind it. These objects were not opaque and very black in color. I saw it and then I looked at the road and looked back and it vanished! I looked away for only a split second. This was no parachute folks, It wasn't a balloon either. This was a very strange object. When I did see it I got the feeling that it was watching me. I shouted over the ham radio to G2srf and asked if they saw IT. They replied with the same description as me! TG somebody else saw this cause I was very perplexed and still am. Something was out there and I don't think it was an optical illusion.

Nice video Ollie. :D

After it rained all night there were piles of mud where the FJ was parked. Natural did little to remove this muck so I took it to the local self wash today and spent $14.00 getting the major mud off. I spent another hour at home with the high pressure hose and there is still mud dropping off. I think I removed a full wheel barrow full of the stuff. What a mess, but well worth it. :D

I agree, it felt like it disappeared exactly when we saw it. Optical illusion? Maybe not, but without photos we'll just be ridiculed.. Good times!

Both great videos, thanks for posting.
Ollie, is that a special mount for the inside vehicle shots? I'm amazed at how smooth it is.

I went out and found an area where several run-off areas converged and blasted thru it over and over until I got most of the mud off. Then I went home and hosed off what blasting thru the water couldn't get. I didn't have much to clean up off the driveway this way and it was way less expensive and more fun than going to a coin-op wash!!
Oh, and Scott, I'd be the last to ridicule you guys for that sighting after the things I've seen. For instance, I've seen one of the triangular ones!! :o

I fabbed a mount for my instrument cluster a few years ago... I call it the FJ-Cabin Cam. I had an old tripod I tore apart to make it. I mount cameras, radar detector, and wig-wags on it. There are two 12V plugs I put right next to the cluster to plug accessories into that I mount there or on my dash. Below are some pics. Don't mind the dirt. Haven't been able to clean yet...
