PokerDawg's Adventure Photography

Post by pokerdawg » Wed May 07, 2008 4:29 pm

Hello Forum!

I couldn't help but be drawn to this topic since I bought my 4x4 to get out there and take photos and videos. I'll be sharing photos in this thread as they come about.

I drive a FJ Cruiser and shoot Canon by the way :D

Thanks for having me.

The Red Tail Hawk at Golar Canyon

I went through Death Valley last weekend with others. I had to stop the caravan when I saw this beauty.

Shot with a Canon 30D and a Canon 70-200 L f2.8.

Saratoga Springs

It has a been a long time since I last shot a panoramic photo. Please excuse the banding in this shot.

Again, this was shot during the DV run last weekend.

Canon 30D and a Tamron 17-50 f2.8
Stitched with Canon software

Thanks. Birding photography is very rewarding and good challenge. You can take 100 shots and only a handful are worth sharing.

wow.........i'm gonna love this thread. your pics are great pokerdawg. love the bird in flight!
where are those rocks that move? thats so cool. i've read about them long long time ago.

i have my quick and easy digital that i use now but i had an old 35mm that i used to take amazing photos with. nothing like being able to switch it into manual mode and use your creative senses!

few years ago i bought another 35mm and have yet to practice and learn with it. someday i'll take it along and start getting creative again.
thanks for sharing your photos.

Looking forward to it. I haven't been to AB or Truck Haven so I'm hoping some SD folks can show me around in the Fall ;)
