Wilderness Survival Net 1/8/09

This weeks net will be the completion of the Survival Net we did on 9/18/08. Our guest will be Mike Ward (KG6WSL) of the Keller Peak Repeater Association's Rescue Net . Mike is involved with the Los Angeles County Sheriffs Department Search and Rescue team. His weekly nets are always a great source of information, especially for those who spend any time outdoors.

Mike's training and experience are a very valuable source of information that will benefit anyone whose travels take us into the outback. Please post up any suggestions that we can have Mike discuss.

I wish i could share some stories and skills this weekend. I have 7 months of indian type survival training in southern Utah. Would be interesting to hear what Mike has to say.

Our special guests for this net have scheduling conflicts and this topic (not the net) will be continued to a later date.

We will do a net but on a different topic - Southern California 4WD destinations. Several guests will discuss recent trips to Southern California locations. Join us if you have been out recently.

Funny, I was just thinking that it would be a great series of topics: Popular Destinations. I was trying to figure out how to make it interesting as a net without pictures and such.
