This isn't a bad idea for a "race" with forum members, the OAUSA 1000, or 100, or...It could be our more modest and less extreme Baja 1000, but just as fun because we get to have a fantastic potluck at the end of it.

Hmmm...

I like this site much better than fjforums because there is no gibberish ("Do you think Jennifer Aniston is hot? Post up here.") and people generally stay on topic within a thread. I fear that this may not be the case if members are encouraged to post just to reach a certain figure. I know Larry's initial post was all in fun and a friendly item of note, but E-train's comment got me worrying. Just my two cents. To quote Billy Joel, OAUSA, "I love you just the way you are."

Maybe I'm completely off, but I think E-Train may have been suggesting an actual race...if there's a potluck at the end, you guys would all stand no chance

There is no doubt in my mind that Larry would win any race with food at the finish line. Especially if the potluck is on line with the sorts we've experienced at our annual Borregofest.
