problem on the way to Mojave

Post by big dave » Sat Jan 10, 2009 10:37 am

I was about to leave my house at 2pm and noticed a tiny puddle under the truck and traced it up to the side of the radiator. There was a bottle of alumaseal in the garage, so i stuck that in the reservoir since ive had good luck with it sealing small leaks before. I left home and drove all the way out to Rancho Cucamonga and stopped at Wal Mart on the 15 before the 15-215 interchange for some food. It was leaking really bad so i decided to fill it up with some more water and come back home.

Well, im home. Im going to Azusa with the RuggedRocks guys in the morning.

Im about to head up to Azusa. Is it possible for someone to get a hold of the guys out there? All of their cell phones are off. I dont want them to think something horrible happened to me on the way out there, given my track record as of late.

Just so you know I called Dana (lacruiser) and left a message on his cell phone after I read your post. I'm sure you tried to contact several HAM's personally to see if they could get a message through to someone on the trip, right? Not much more anyone could really do than that, wouldn't you agree?

Hey Big Dave,

Sorry you couldn't make the trip. We thought about you as well - lots of calls on CB 34 for you. I know I speak for all that we're glad nothing really bad happened to ya. We'll all be posting pics soon, so you can live vicariously through us. Looking forward to the next time we can get out on the trail together.

Ok, so that's what happened to ya. Sorry you couldn't make it out with us. But it looks like ya had a good time at Azusa.
