Reset your trip odometer to zero and look for the sign on your left at 1.40 miles from leaving Split Mountain Road. The campsite sits on a small bluff and has a his and hers vault toilet and that's about it.

My coords. are for the entrance to the campsite.

Looks like the guys beat me to it. I think I should be at that site around 8:30 or 9:00am.sdnative wrote:Fish Creek Primitive Campsite:

Sounds good, Steve. We'll keep an eye out for ya.THATSALEXUS? wrote:Looks like I'm in. I might have another rig or two with me as well. I might meet you guys in Julian or at the 79 & 78 as the Ramona loop is a little out of the way.
Glad to have you aboard, Tyler. As far as I know, the canyon isn't blocked but there are a few spots one must negotiate from the fallen rocks. I don't know how difficult it is so I'm looking forward to seeing it.SD07NISMO wrote:Sounds like a fun day trip! I'll probably be meeting up with you in Ramona. The last time I was out that way was last year, actually the weekend of the earthquake, we got out of there Sunday morning before it hit. I haven't seen Sandstone Canyon yet since the earthquake other than pictures, does anyone know if it is still blocked?

It's open and passable but tight for the bigger rigs in one particular spot. Should be fun!BorregoWrangler wrote:Glad to have you aboard, Tyler.
