Awesome private trail

Post by aw12345 » Sun Feb 01, 2009 1:41 am

Went to visit a MJR buddy today and with some other wheeling friends ran the trail he made across from his house, its a project he has worked on for the last year and a half had an awesome day.
Kinda lazy right now to imbed pictures so here is the link for now. The location is in the North east corner of Apple Valley in So Cali. The tally for the day 2 busted baja claws one bent leaf spring the shackle flipped over on the CJ7
one broken u joint on the CJ7 and a broken u joint on one of the TJ's. My little jeep ran everything without a hitch or any visual damage, this stuff started to look like the hammers in places nice waterfalls losse big rocks you name it

Great pictures! Looks like a beautiful day and some great rugged terrain. Is this a run you could arrange again?

Would depend on my MJR friend. Its definitely a very tough trail, the guy with the xj that is very well built had a tough time in spots since some of the turns through the rocks take manuvering, would take some very good driving to get an FJ through and sheetmetal damage would be likely. If I were you I would try Bullfrog, and cakewalk first. The cakewalk part has had some gnarly stuff added that I haven't tried out yet. But if you want to rub and bump the FJ over some pretty serious rocks I will keep it in mind, this trail blows the doors of John Bull

That's not a trail, it's pile of rocks.

Looks like fun.
