Only took 4 months to activate my account
Hello,
Well so this is what OAUSA looks like. I had registered back in Oct when there was a trip planned to A-B. The email was sent to my spam folder. I found it a while back but have only now got back into trail riding and camping. I'm looking to join a group of FJer's on the 14th in A-B. I'm also looking to get serious about my tech class ham license. I haven't done anything with it since I passed the test almost a year ago. So anybody looking to help out a newbee, I'm all ears!

Welcome!
I can't help you with the HAM but I set up a dummy e-mail account on g-mail for all my web forum and other must register activities so I never lose them in spam and they don't crap all over my real e-mail, not that this site has ever done that.

Well, glad to see you finally made it on to the forum !!!
If you have any questions regarding amateur radio, or most anything else outdoor-oriented, ask away - you'll usually get some great information from a great group of knowledgable folks that hang around the OAUSA forum...

Welcome or Welcome Back!
If you haven’t already, take some time to look around the forum. There is a wealth of knowledge, everything from Ham equipment, camping equipment, and off road equipment just to name a subset of topics.
Looking forward to seeing you at AB in the future.

Welcome. As Voodoo Blue suggested, you'll find some great information on the site already.
Two things I'd suggest - from the home page, click on the link "On-Air Net Archives". OAUSA does a weekly ham net on various topics, and there's some great info in these past nets. I like to download them and copy them to my IPod - a great option if you don't have time to sit in front of your computer and listen.
Second, browse through the forums and jump into anything that looks interesting. There is a wealth of ham-related information there.
Hope you have a lot of time on your hands.
This site can keep you busy!
