2009-04-03 thru 05: Havasu Part Two

Post by ssc » Thu Mar 19, 2009 5:44 pm

I plan on being in Havasu and hitting trails April 4th. I may wheel on the 3rd and the 5th as well, but the 4th for sure. I plan on going through a wilderness area and to the "desert bar." If anyone is interested, let me know. It is alot of open BLM land so shooting, camping and wheeling is allowed.

I'd love to join you, but I don't think I can swing it right now.

Are you going to Calico next weekend? I am going to try to get up there.

Eric, I doubt I will make Calico. The FJ is in Havasu, so I would be using the ford. The trails I have run in Calico would not be very foregiving to the longwheelbase. Also the ford is my hunting truck so it isn't really set up for hard wheeling. It doesn't have much protection. Maybe I will have to get an 80 for down here :D --At least that sounds good, now if I can get it past the wife.

That's a great idea. They are very undervalued right now. You can pick one up cheap. You can drive mine if you want to try it out.

I don't plan on doing anything crazy. Just exploring the area probably.
