What is eSAT?

My laptop has an eSAT port on it. What is it for? :?

Are you sure its not eSATA? External Serial ATA interface. Serial ATA is a commonly used interface for internal Hard Drives, and eSATA is an extension of that specification to be used with external devices. That's all I know.
